Shanghai LifenGas Co., Ltd. has signed a landmark agreement with Shanxi Tianhao Clean Energy Co., Ltd. and its two major shareholders: Linxian Jiahao New Energy Co., Ltd. (a subsidiary of Shanxi Huifeng Xingye Gas Group Co., Ltd.) and Shanghai CIMC Tianzhao Clean Energy Co., Ltd. (a subsidiary of CIMC Enric Holdings Limited, part of CIMC Group’s energy and chemical sector). The four parties will jointly develop a BOG (boil-off gas) helium extraction project at Shanxi Tianhao’s LNG plant, opening a new chapter for high-value clean energy development.
Unlocking Scarce Resource Value Through Technology
Helium is a critical strategic resource widely used in semiconductor manufacturing, aerospace, scientific research, and other high-tech industries. As a key gas supporting advanced industries and national strategic needs, China has long relied on imports for a significant portion of its helium supply.
Shanghai LifenGas has independently developed core BOG helium extraction technology, and this project represents another important step in translating technological innovation into industrial value. Under the agreement, LifenGas will leverage its full-chain capabilities in gas separation and purification, taking responsibility for engineering design, equipment manufacturing, as well as long-term operation and maintenance. By utilizing BOG from Tianhao’s LNG facility, the project will recover valuable helium resources from LNG boil-off gas, transforming underutilized gas streams into high-value rare gas products.
Strong Backing from Industry Leaders
The deep involvement of both shareholders brings significant strategic advantages to the project. Huifeng Xingye Gas is a well-established energy enterprise with strong local roots in Shanxi, while CIMC Tianzhao, supported by CIMC Enric’s extensive expertise in energy equipment and logistics solutions, contributes advanced equipment manufacturing capabilities and strong supply chain resources.
Their participation demonstrates strong recognition of LifenGas’s technological capabilities and project execution expertise, while creating new opportunities for the company to further expand its presence across Shanxi Province and the broader North China market.
This BOG helium extraction project represents the beginning of a broader collaboration. Moving forward, the four parties plan to deepen cooperation in clean energy utilization and rare gas processing, unlocking additional high-value opportunities in the region.
Moving Ahead with Full Momentum
The signing marks an important milestone in Shanghai LifenGas’s strategic expansion in North China and further reinforces its position in the field of rare gas recovery and utilization.
Shanghai LifenGas Co., Ltd. is a national high-tech enterprise and a national-level specialized and sophisticated “Little Giant” company. The company specializes in the research, development, and manufacturing of integrated gas separation and purification systems, with fully independent intellectual property rights covering BOG helium extraction, rare gas recovery, hydrogen purification, and other core technologies.
Looking ahead, LifenGas remains committed to technological innovation and industrial advancement, striving to become a globally recognized provider of gas separation solutions while contributing to the secure and sustainable development of strategic gas resources.
