Recently, the first Vacuum Pressure Swing Adsorption (VPSA) oxygen enrichment generator in the cement industry developed by Shanghai LifenGas was successfully commissioned for the precise oxygen enriched combustion and energy saving technical renovation project of CUCC (Ulanqab).
After the stable operation of the system, this technical transformation project will bring significant economic and environmental benefits. It will successfully accelerate the cement industry's coal saving and emission reduction efforts by optimizing oxygen enriched combustion, increasing kiln thermal efficiency, reducing coal consumption, and reducing CO₂, NOx and particulate emissions.
On December 13, 2024, our company signed a contract with the customer for "Precise Oxygen Enriched Supporting Combustion Energy Saving Technical Transformation Project for the 5000T/d Clinker Production Line of Ulanqab CUCC".
The subject of this contract is a set of LVOa80 - 850 VPSA oxygen generator. It is intended to supply oxygen-enriched combustion gas to the customer's kiln head and kiln tail blower equipment, thereby achieving the goals of coal saving and emission reduction. The main technical parameters of the oxygen generator are as follows:
- Oxygen purity: 80% O₂ ±2%;
- Capacity: ≥850 Nm³/h (at 0℃, 101.325 KPa);
- Product oxygen outlet pressure: ≥15 KPa (gauge pressure).
On March 19, 2025, after the foundation of the customer's civil engineering equipment was ready for installation, our company began on-site installation work. The installation was successfully completed on April 14. Subsequently, on April 15, 2025, the project officially entered the molecular sieve loading and commissioning stage. By April 19, the commissioning process was fully completed and the oxygen generator officially started supplying oxygen. The timely oxygen supply ensured the seamless commissioning of the customer's kiln head and kiln tail blower equipment.
During the installation and commissioning process, our company spared no effort to expedite the gas supply and ensure the smooth commissioning of the customer's kiln head and kiln tail blower equipment, as well as the normal operation of the oxygen enrichment system. Despite the extremely tight construction schedule and the prolonged period of sub-zero temperatures (below 0℃) in the local area, we increased our investment in construction and commissioning costs to accelerate progress. In the end, we completed the project more than ten days ahead of the contractual schedule and successfully started gas supply.




Since the start of gas supply, the VPSA oxygen generator has operated with remarkable stability and all its operating indicators have exceeded the design specifications. It fully meets the customer's requirements for the operation of the kiln head and kiln tail blower equipment, and has achieved significant coal savings.
