On June 2th last year, the 100,000 cubic meters per day (m³/d) pipeline gas liquefaction project in Mizhi County, Yulin City, Shaanxi Province, achieved a one-time successful startup and smoothly discharged liquefied products.
This milestone comes at a crucial time, as the energy demands of Northwest and North China are soaring due to rapid industrialization and urbanization. The project addresses this need by providing a reliable source of clean and efficient energy, significantly contributing to the region's sustainable development.
The project's core purification and liquefaction process package is a testament to advanced engineering. It features a patented oil-lubricated screw compressor-driven low-pressure mixed refrigerant refrigeration cycle, renowned for its high efficiency and reliability. This innovative technology not only maximizes the liquefaction rate but also reduces energy consumption, aligning with China's carbon neutrality goals. The skid-mounted modular design further streamlines the construction process. Factory pre-manufactured and pre-commissioned skid blocks are transported to the site, requiring only pipeline connections and power supply installation. This approach has shortened the construction period by 30% compared to traditional methods and reduced costs by minimizing on-site labor and material expenses.
Upon full operation, the project is expected to annually supply over 36 million cubic meters of liquefied natural gas (LNG), effectively bridging the gap in the local natural gas market. Beyond energy provision, it serves as a catalyst for economic growth in Mizhi County and surrounding areas. The project is projected to create over 200 direct jobs and stimulate the development of logistics, maintenance, and supporting service industries. Moreover, by promoting clean energy use, it will help reduce regional air pollution, improve air quality, and enhance the living standards of local residents. Overall, this liquefaction project marks a significant step forward in North-west China's energy transition and sustainable economic development.
